Reflection:

Experience:
Throughout the whole journey I've been through, it was an amazing experience getting a chance to study all the things about the software of Adobe Illustrator as well as some techniques and terms when creating an art work. In this module I learnt about narrative structure, rule of third, composition, depth and many more. This module really developed me to be more creative and able to learn to apply rule of third and always have a good composition. I got a chance to design my own vormator character and made use of the laser cut machine as well as being introduced to UV printing which is interesting. Aside from that, I was introduced to a design called Art Deco, and also making a poster that is being animated. There are so many knowledge I can get, we are also introduced to different software which is very exciting. Having this module as part as my course was an exciting experience, I always look forward to receive a feedback from my lecturer so that wider ideas I can gain from them. It fascinate me when my lecturer will show the seniors work or tell his experience what we can do in the software and everything.

Observation:
From what I observed throughout my first semester is that my outcome is not that pleasing and satisfying. I always see my work outcome is never enough. It was a very tiring thing to do especially when you are not satisfied and you need to repeat your work to make a better outcome. However, this process of repeating gain you knowledge to try new things and practiced you to familiarize with the software tools. I realize that being reminded of composition whenever I do my work will help the outcome to look great. This module is not that easy because you need to always have a references or a mood boards that will guide you until your final outcome. However, in my case I keep on changing my references which I cannot get it right. I struggle a lot and I still have a lot of things to learn to make my outcome looks great. As the semester has come to an end I look back that, I survive even though I always think that my outcome is never enough to satisfy my own eyes and other people's eyes. I will keep on trying and willing to learn new things.

Findings:
I learnt that we all who will be designers in the future need to be trained to think critically and explore more ideas, try to avoid with a limited ideas because it won’t do good. For every design we work on we need to consider rule of third, composition and many more.  As I am still learning like everyone does, we need to be open to any suggestion, opinion, criticism and above all learn from the mistake that we did. Never stop trying even though it frustrated you to keep on repeating because of technical issues or even the mistake we produce ourselves.
