3D MODELING - Final Project (ORGANIC MODELING) 15 June, 2018 - 8 July, 2018  (Week 12 - Week 15) Jesslyn Fabryando  (0332213) 3D Modeling Lecture & Tutorial 12:   15 June, 2018 (Week 12) On the twelfth week of class which we have it online, we were given a tasked where as an exercise for our final project, we need to model just the head. The reason for this, so that it will be easier for us and also to learn how to model a face properly avoiding making faces with more than 4 sides. I chose to make a baby face however, it doesn't turn out to be one. I am still learning and I find it hard to avoid creating more than 4 sides. Fig. 1. Reference of the baby face I starte modeling 1 whole face and delete the other half and set it to duplicate special, however, I have a problem with the curve of the nose as it is duplicated. As I model it, I use a little bit of tutorials to help me, but it just seems doesn't help wherein I am lost in the middle o...

3D MODELING - Project 2 (ORGANIC MODELING) 18 May, 2018 - 1 June, 2018  (Week 8 - Week 10) Jesslyn Fabryando  (0332213) 3D Modeling Lecture & Tutorial 8:   18 May, 2018 (Week 8) On the eighth week of class, we showed our organic model sketches to Mr. Kannan. I draw an old lady cartoon and he told me ok and to go for it; start modeling it already. During class, Mr. Kannan showed some techniques to model an organic model just a simple one which is in low poly. He told us to practice so that we know where to cut the portion so that it will look good. He also showed us how to input some textures and how to create one  in photoshop with the exact same size as the model. Doing the texture might be tricky and need a lot of practice, when he taught us and do all stuff in class, I manage to follow him in the beginning towards the end, I am lost especially doing the texturing. I need to watch more tutorials for this. Fig. 1. Sketches of my organic...

3D MODELING - PROJECT 1 (Hard Surfaces) 30 March, 2018 - 27 April, 2018  (Week 1 - Week 5) Jesslyn Fabryando  (0332213) 3D Modeling Lecture & Tutorial 1:  Introduction to 3D Modeling 30 March, 2018 (Week 1) On the first week of the class, our lecturer, Mr. Kannan, introduced us about 3D Modeling is all about. He briefly explained about the module and letting us know what project that we will be doing throughout the course. In the middle of the class discussion, Mr. Kannan showed us some examples about the work done by the seniors before. In this module, we are going to use Maya as our software which is a powerful one said by our lecturer. We got a lot of information in this first week. We were taught the basics of 3D modelling which started by the basic 3D geometric shapes we usually encounter which is the cube, sphere, triangular prism, cone and cylinder. Aside from that we were taught some short cut keys so that it will make our lives easier t...
