Lecture & Tutorial 8:
18 May, 2018 (Week 8)
On the eighth week of class, we showed our organic model sketches to Mr. Kannan. I draw an old lady cartoon and he told me ok and to go for it; start modeling it already. During class, Mr. Kannan showed some techniques to model an organic model just a simple one which is in low poly. He told us to practice so that we know where to cut the portion so that it will look good. He also showed us how to input some textures and how to create one in photoshop with the exact same size as the model. Doing the texture might be tricky and need a lot of practice, when he taught us and do all stuff in class, I manage to follow him in the beginning towards the end, I am lost especially doing the texturing. I need to watch more tutorials for this.
As I drew my character already, Mr. Kannan suggested us to color it first in Photoshop so that we have an idea what texture and color we want so that when we reach to texturing later on, we won't keep on changing colors in Maya that will consume a lot of time.
I started modeling on week 8 and at first I was scared to model the face because there is this curve in the face that I think it is impossible to model, however, I keep on trying. I use cube and use Multicut tool then I start to shape it. During modeling this character, I watch a lot of tutorials on how to model eyes, nose, hands, boots, literally everything. The reason why is because I don't really know how to model. I'm not sure where to cut also. In this model the surface still have three and also more than 5 sided, so it's not good. Following the tutorial for me is something that takes time especially if you can't follow the tutorial. However, I learnt that from the tutorial I learn more of the tools and what I think is impossible actually it is possible to do some changes. Before, as I am modeling and if I made a mistake, I always redo and start all over from the very beginning. This makes me so stress and want to give up, but when I watch tutorials there is a way how to fix certain things, such as making 5 sided angle to 4 sided angle.
For the outcome that I model, Mr. Kannan ask me whether I am happy with what I am modeling or not, because no matter what my answer is, he will always give feedback for me to improve my modeling.
Throughout this second project, I find it harder than the first project because I can't still model in a correct way. One thing I made a huge mistake is that modeling right away in a posing character, wherein supposedly overtime we model, we need to model in T pose first. Nevertheless, I will still keep on practicing how to model in a proper way.

Lecture & Tutorial 9:
25 May, 2018 (Week 9)
On the ninth week of class, I showed my model character that I have done so far to Mr. Kannan. For my model, such as the ears, eyes, and the hand, I model it separately as a result when Mr. Kannan check my model, he told me to stick the ear together with the face, because it doesn't make sense if the ear is not combined with the face. At first I was worried since it is two piece, I was questioning how am I going to stick this ear. However, Mr. Kannan help me and teach me how to do it and leave the rest for me to fix it.

Lecture & Tutorial 10:
1st June, 2018 (Week 10)
On the tenth week of class, I showed my model character again with texture. I painted it in Photoshop and apply it to my model character. Mr. Kannan told us to render it using Arnold however, that time when he was beside me, I was afraid that he would get mad because I forgot how to render it using Arnold. But because I don't know how, he taught me again and that is where I learn and won't forget how to render in the next project when I have one.
