Lecture 5: Introduction to Metamorphosis

23 April, 2018 (Week 5)
On the fifth week of the class, our lecturer, Mr. Hafiz, introduced us about Metamorphosis. When doing metamorphosis or any kind of animation, we should apply the 12 principles of animation which squash and stretch, anticipation, and the others. We should also include rotation, bounce as well to make better outcome. For this project, everyone in class were asked to come up with an object and we will be animating by transforming our object to our friend's object.  As for my object, I drew a lamp and will by transforming to my friend's object which is a dream catcher. Our lecturer asked us to draw the object in Adobe animate and should be done by next Monday which is in week 6. Atleast we should already have my own object drawn, the in between transformation drawing and my friend's object drawing.

Lecture 6: Metamorphosis

On the sixth week of the class, our lecturer, Mr. Hafiz, reminded us to make the animation using pose to pose principle. To make it like a pose to pose animation, we should draw the first frame and the last frame followed by in between drawing. Then, proceed drawing the odd numbers like the in between of first and fifth Frame which is the third frame.

Tutorial 6: Animating in Adobe Animate CC

30 April, 2018 (Week 6)
On the sixth week of the class, our lecturer, Mr. Hafiz, take a look around to see our progress. As class about to dismiss, he asked us to make the 3 and 7th frame. At first I am having a lot of hard time on how to animate a dream catcher. So, when Mr. Hafiz approached me, he gave me a lot of ideas and the possibilities in animating it that ease my problems and open to new thoughts of how to animate. For this metamorphosis project we need to use the pose-to-pose principle.

I made rough sketches but it seems to be off and there is not rotate bounce or any principles applied so, Mr. Hafiz gave some ideas for me to think about it further.

Lecture 6: Final Outcome

7 May, 2018 (Week 7)

On this week seventh, we consult our metamorphosis and were given a feedback. My final outcome is great and Mr. Hafiz said he likes it.  He said I've done a great job just like what he asked on the brief where there is rotate, jump and explode. I just nee to add some more frames in-between. But overall it's good already.
